Warning period ends for Clermont red light cameras

Clermont has the green light to start fining red light runners starting Friday.

The city placed six red light cameras at four intersections along State Road 50 last month.

For 30 days, red light runners were only getting warnings, but starting Jan. 3, you will get a $158 ticket.

The city council approved placing up to 24 cameras throughout the city, saying they have driver safety at heart.
