Dozens of marijuana plants found in Groveland home

GROVELAND --

A marijuana growing operation in Lake County was busted Sunday. The Groveland Police Department said an officer was doing a routine patrol Sunday morning on Singleton Circle in the Green Valley West subdivision and observed an open door at a home in the 1100 block. Investigators said the officer investigated to determine if there was a burglary and discovered 100 marijuana plants in plain view.

The officer secured the residence and the Groveland Police Department’s Narcotics Division was called to the scene.
